The charter of "Grigore T. Popa" University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iași

This Charter establishes the organizational framework and major options of the university community of the “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iaşi, a state higher education institution in Romania, a legal person of public law and public utility. Also, the university charter regulates the entire activity of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Grigore T. Popa” Iasi, being elaborated in accordance with the provisions of the Romanian Constitution of 1991, revised in 2003, of the Law of National Education no. 1/2011, published in the M.O. of Romania, Part I no. 18, the year 179 (XXIII), of January 10, 2011, with subsequent amendments and completions, to other normative acts incident to the domain, in force at the time of its elaboration, as well as with the norms of the European Union.
The "Grigore T. Popa" University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iaşi is a public institution, of higher state medical education, with legal personality, non-profit character, public interest, apolitical. The charter complies with the criteria and standards of academic evaluation and accreditation, provided by law. The mission undertaken by the U.M.F. Iasi is the one for advanced research and education..
