Master's program Clinical bioengineering, organized by the Faculty of Medical Bioengineering,The University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Grigore T. Popa” Iasi, has as mission the deepening of the specialization of the graduates of higher technical education in the field of applied engineering sciences, in particular of the bioengineering specialization, the training of specialists with high professional competence, able to carry out their activity. in research, design and industry in the field, as well as in other fields related to management aspects, directly correlated with the aforementioned activities. The International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE) and the American College of Clinical Engineering (ACCE) define the clinical engineer as "That specialized person to ensure and improve patient care by applying his engineering and managerial skills in the clinical use of medical technologies." Skills:- Provides technical and operational support for users of clinical equipment and medical technology;
- Performs the planned maintenance of medical equipment to ensure the effectiveness, safety and use according to specifications;
- Develops clinical management and ensures the quality of functioning of equipment connected to patients in hospitals;
- Contributes to ensuring the financial management of the clinic in terms of costs and services for medical equipment;
- Provides consultancy for the evaluation, purchase and installation of medical equipment;
- Provides liaison with medical staff, service providers and medical device manufacturers to develop and improve medical devices or establish new protocols for optimal use of technology in the clinic;
- Design and coordinate experiments in the biomedical field and analyze and interpret the data obtained.
